The ingredients needed to make Rice and Mung Dal Porridge:

  1. {Get 3/4 cup of Any Variety of Glutinous Rice.
  2. {Prepare 1/4 cup of Mung Dal.
  3. {Make ready 1/2 Tsp of Ginger powder.
  4. {Take 1/2 Tsp of Garlic Powder.
  5. {Get 1/2 Tsp of Onion powder.
  6. {Make ready 1 Tsp of Olive oil / Veg oil.
  7. {Make ready 1/8 Tsp of Turmeric powder.
  8. {Make ready as per taste of Salt.
  9. {Make ready 1-2 Tsp of Butter or Ghee.
  10. {Make ready 4-5 of Chopped French Beans.
  11. {Take 1 of Small piece of Carrot chopped.
  12. {Take 1/4 cup of Mushroom Powder (see recipe).

Steps to make Rice and Mung Dal Porridge:

  1. Wash the Rice and Dal and add enough water to boil it. You can pressure cook it too but I love to slow cook it. Add ginger, garlic, onion powder (or you can add fresh too, it was handy so I added this today otherwise I add fresh too), carrot and beans, oil, turmeric and salt and bring to a boil, simmer and cook till everything becomes mushy..
  2. When the porridge is almost cooked add the Mushroom Powder too and cook for 10 more minutes for it to cook. If it's fresh or dried mushroom add it at the beginning. At the end add the butter or ghee and mix it well. Serve warm..
  3. Boiled eggs (see tip).
  4. Salata Hara (see recipe).
